Congrats! These photos look artsy! Nepalese photo journalists should make some marks, too.

Unlike the the Netherlands-based WPF, the USA-based POY competition award-winning photos look much more colorful and exciting. These photos are spectacular: http://www.poy.org/63/winners.html But no photos from Nepal won award in 2006.

Few Nepal photos (social or political) win awards. National Geographic publihed mostly nature photos. And this one photo in Time Mag about Nepal won the 2002 SAJA award. The Pulitzer awards on photographyalmost always go to USA-related topics and sometimes to Africa and Asia-related issues.

Where are you Nepali photographers? Gopal Chitrakar, Chandra Shekhar, Bijay Rauniyar, Rajesh KC, and others? Winning competitions may not be important always, but you guys must have more spectacular photos.
